Zoya Shereshkova, cello

Zoya Shereshkova 187x280 Zoya Shereshkova, celloCellist Zoya Shereshkova was born in Russia, where she studied at the State Academic Music College and the Maimonides Classical State Academy.

She is a laureate of the 3rd Youth Cellists competition in 1999 in Moscow, Russia, and the 2005 Cambridge International Strings Competition.

Ms.Shereshkova has performed with orchestras at festivals in Jonzac (France), Balchik (Bulgaria), and Usedom (Germany), as well as the Moscow group “Bach Consort” and the Maimonides State Academy Quintet.

She has taught at the Dunayevsky Children’s Musical School in Moscow, Russia.

Currently, Zoya plays with Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, BHCG “Classica” and Muza Duo.

In addition to performing, Ms. Shereshkova gives private cello lessons in her musical studio “Cello Brookline” in Lexington, MA.
