Georges Devdariani febr 2010 4165 185x280 Georges Devdariani, clarinetBorn in Leningrad, Mr. Devdariani graduated from the Rimsky–Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory with honors majoring in clarinet performance.

He continued his studies at Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in Antwerp and later at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, graduating with a MM (Master of Musical Arts) majoring in musical theatre.

A winner of international competitions, Mr. Devdariani takes part in a variety of international musical projects and festivals; he tours as a clarinetist performing in Russia, USA and Holland. As a member of chamber ensembles, he has performed for radio and television. He conducted the clarinet orchestra “Lignum” in Leiden, The Netherlands. Studied drama at Amsterdam’s Theater school De Trap.

He consistently acts in theatrical and television productions, is filmed in movies and television series. He starred in the movie “Hang” and won two awards at an international film festival in Scotland. He was the assistant director and production coordinator in the Russian–Holland opera production of Mozart’s Don Juan and Verdi’s The Troubadour. Georges has been invited to stage Mozart’s “Bastien and Bastienne” in Amsterdam as co-director. He directed the world premiere of A. Tikhomirov’s opera “Dracula” in St. Petersburg.
