Dina  Kuznetsova 186x280 Dina Kuznetsova, sopranoRussian–American soprano Dina Kuznetsova has attracted the attention of the world’s major opera companies for her outstanding musicianship and compelling stage presence.

Ms. Kuznetsova’s 2010/2011 season has been highlighted by her greatly acclaimed portrayal of the title role in Dvořák’s Rusalka with the Glyndebourne Festival, conducted by Sir Andrew Davis, as well as her debut with the Metropolitan Opera as Chloe in Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades.

Recent performances of note include reprising the role of Rusalka in Montpellier, France; Eugene Onegin in a co-production with the Opera de Lille and Théâtre de Caen, and her debut at the Glyndebourne Festival as Alice Ford in a new Richard Jones production of Falstaff, conducted by Vladimir Jurowski. Ms. Kuznetsova made her role debut as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin opposite Dmitri Hvorostovsky in a return to Lyric Opera of Chicago. She made her Vienna State Opera debut as Gounod’s Juliette. Ms. Kuznetsova appeared Michigan Opera Theater in another signature role – Verdi’s Violetta. She made her Royal Opera, Covent Garden debut as Lauretta in a new production of Gianni Schicchi conducted by Antonio Pappano and opposite Bryn Terfel.

Other appearances have included the title role in Janacek’s “Cunning Little Vixen“, Juliette in “Romeo and Juliette” and Gilda in “Rigoletto” with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Donna Anna and Adina with Berlin Staatsoper, the title role in Handel’s “Rodelinda” with Bayerische Staatsoper and Guilietta in Bellini’s “I Capuletti et I Montecchi” with the English National Opera.

Upcoming engagements include appearances with Opera Carolina, Sydney Symphony and a return to the Metropolitan Opera.

Dina Kuznetsova is an alumna of the Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago and Music Academy of the West, and a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Akron.
