Alexander Prokhorov, originally from Russia, now lives in Boston and performs with local opera companies.

Mr. Prokhorov’s operatic roles are Don Pasquale in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale with Boston University Opera Institute, Raimondo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor with Boston Bel Canto Opera, Bottom in Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nicki in Richard Wargo’s Seduction of a Lady both with Boston University Opera Institute, Colline in Puccini’s La Boheme with Lowell Opera House, Ashby in Pucinni’s La Fanciulla del West with the Boston Music Academy and Ferrando in Verdi’s Il Trovatore with Boston Bel Canto Opera.
Alexander’s solo concert appearances include the parts of Bass in Stravinsky’s Les Noces with Ohio State University Chamber Orchestra, Handel’s Messiah with the Sapphire Coast Music Festival in Australia, Bach’s Magnificat in D with Boston Cecilia, Handel’s Te Deum for the Victory of Dettingen, Haydn’s Te Deum in C Major, Fauré’s Requiem, Mozart’s Messa Solemnis in C and Missa Brevis D-dur and Schubert’s Messa G-dur.

These days, Alexander is combining a concert and performance career with teaching and vocal coaching in the Boston area. He is soloist of Jewish Musical Theater Firelech, he is a Director of the Vocal Arts Studio, Lucky Ten Ensemble and the Assistant Music Director of The Boston Russian Chorus.
